Back-to-school time is almost synonymous with cool new outfits for many kids, but returning to school in worn, tattered clothing can embarrass children whose parents can't afford new clothes.
That's why the Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati has participated for about a decade in Operation School Bell, a philanthropic project to provide new uniforms, shoes, socks, underwear, and hygiene kits for public and parochial students in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

The mission of Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati is to provide comfort, offer hope and encourage a feeling of dignity and self-worth in the individuals served through our programs.

At a Glance

Formed as a Guild of National Assistance League^® in 1995, Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati was chartered as the 101st chapter in 1998.
Currently, about 80 volunteer members from throughout the Greater Cincinnati Area work on philanthropic and fund raising programs.
Since formation, Assistance League members have donated or worked nearly 100,000 volunteer hours in meeting the needs of disadvantaged women and children.
Assistance League members have raised nearly a million dollars locally. Over 85% of the funds raised have been returned to the community through philanthropic programs.
Assistance League is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.

Operation School Bell is the official project of National Assistance League. Locally, Operation School Bell provides under-privileged children with school uniforms, sweatshirts, socks, underwear, hygiene supplies, and shoes.

Violence against the women of greater Cincinnati is a concern of Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati members. We have addressed some of the needs of this group of victims through the organization's various Assault Survivor Kits.
